Dayton Campaign for Equal Justice

Too often, even when legal rights exist on paper, marginalized groups cannot effectuate their rights – because they cannot afford an attorney. The individuals and families these organizations serve experience legal hardships, health risks, loss of income, evictions, and domestic violence. Their legal services assist members of our community facing elder abuse, provide access for those with disabilities, remove barriers to employment, education, and public benefits, and resolve immigration matters.

The annual Campaign for Equal Justice funds civil legal services provided to people living in poverty in Montgomery, Clark, Champaign, Miami, Greene, Darke, and Preble counties.

Donations fund LAWO, Advocates for Basic Legal Equality, Inc. (ABLE), and our partner, the Greater Dayton Volunteer Lawyers Project (GDVLP), which coordinates pro bono assistance from community attorneys. Attorneys, law firms, and the public support the Campaign, which includes the inspiring Access to Justice Awards Celebration, and the always enjoyable Justice on Tap.

Support from community members like you helps us ensure access to equal justice for all, strengthening the rule of law and a culture that provides safety and stability to individuals and families in our community.
