Your Career at LAWO
We Value Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
LAWO is an Equal Opportunity Employer and strongly values diversity in our firm, including diversity in race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation and identity, age, and physical ability. We understand that diversity lies within our firm as a whole. We strive to create an environment welcoming to all individuals and encourage applications from individuals traditionally underrepresented in the legal profession. By bringing together a broad mix of professionals with unique perspectives, we provide our clients and the communities we serve with a broader and more positive experience.
Our Diversity, Inclusion, and Racial Equity Committee leads our diversity initiatives. The committee works to ensure that LAWO continues to address diversity at every stage of service delivery, leadership development, and program management, working toward measurable and positive results. Our Summer Associate Recruitment Committee and strategic planning teams have diversity, equity, and inclusion at the heart of their goals and decisions. Our Diversity Book Club leads stimulating and often challenging discussions on a variety of topics.
We are committed to achieving justice
We stand up for people living in poverty who need legal help to assert or defend their legal rights. Our clients are diverse, and their needs often involve access to basic needs and rights that many of us take for granted. Many are trying to move past barriers caused by poverty and a lack of equitable opportunities.
We know there is much more to be done. We need your help to fulfill our mission.
