2022 Access to Justice Awards Celebration

Advocates for Basic Legal Equality, Inc. (ABLE), Legal Aid of Western Ohio, Inc. (LAWO), and the Greater Dayton Volunteer Lawyers Project (GDVLP) will honor two individuals and an organization for their extraordinary service to people living in poverty in the Miami Valley region: The Hon. Robert Rettich for his work and legacy with the Miamisburg Municipal Court; WilmerHale’s Legal Resource Center for its steadfast pro bono work with criminal record sealing and juvenile family law issues; and Tom Roberts for his life-long advocacy in supporting criminal justice issues and voting rights.

Join us on November 3, 2022, at Sinclair Community College Ponitz Center in downtown Dayton from 5-7:30 p.m. Festivities include heavy hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar, networking opportunities, and of course, recognition of our worthy Access to Justice Awards Celebration recipients.

The event, which is attended by over 200 guests each year, is led by the Dayton legal community with proceeds to support critical legal services in our region. Guests will learn more information about our 2022 Campaign for Equal Justice and discover additional ways to support our legal services that benefit veterans, survivors of domestic violence, food and housing insecure individuals, children with special needs, and more.
