The Legal Aid Speakers' Bureau is a free resource to community groups that provides LAWO and ABLE attorneys and professionals the opportunity to share their expertise with northwest and west central Ohio communities. Presentations are generally about legal aid programs and services and, specifically, about civil legal issues relevant to certain groups, such as fair housing, domestic violence, divorce, bankruptcy, taxes, and tenants’ rights. Speaking engagements can vary in length and format, from brief lectures to local rotary club members to an introduction of the civil legal system for local middle school students, to question-and-answer sessions with senior citizens' groups.
Our staff members have spoken to community groups, support groups, professional organizations, schools, and other agencies, including:
Community Action Partnership for Montgomery County
