 I am both an administrative assistant and the translation coordinator for LAWO and ABLE — and I love it. The work I do in support of the advocates at ABLE and LAWO provides me with a personal feeling of satisfaction. My work allows me to interact with many different clients, from a number of different countries and backgrounds. Translation is most often the key to communicating with immigrant clients, and I find that very rewarding.
Because I am fluent in Spanish, I get a great feeling when interpreting for someone, especially when I can see on a person's face how comfortable they feel expressing their concerns and problems to me in their own language. And I really enjoy the people I work with ... we all work together to help our clients and community, no matter where we are located within the law firms.
